This image shows the south end of Hammond Street. The multi-use path continues on the north side -- here, suitable as a recreational path -- but most trip endpoints are on the south side, and the roadway has been narrowed so much as to require motorists to merge into the oncoming lane to overtake any slower or stopped traffic. The rotary intersection with Hammond Pond Parkway, Newton Street and Lagrange Street is shown at the right side of the picture. As indicated in a note in the drawing, the Northeastern students have no plan for this intersection.
